My own little adventure
A few weeks ago I resolved to start riding my bike to work. Since then I’ve procrastinated, blaming the fact that I still haven’t found a decent helmet. Well, one of our cars needs a little repair-so this week I finally had the impetus I needed. I gave in and just bought a last-minute helmet from Target (which, I’m sure will NOT protect me if I should ever need it to), and this morning I was off to work with my helmet, bike and little backpack. It’s been a very long time since I’ve ridden my bike, so this was my own little adventure. I doubt if it will ever be my primary mode of transport, but I really enjoyed my short ride this morning and will continue to ride to work at least a couple of days per week. Now…I just need to buy a seat cushion (ouch!)

Chandeliers & Wooden Tables
I love formal outdoor dining, I especially love the look of sturdy wooden tables and chandeliers. These are my two faves, aren’t they gorgeous?

Check out this great tutorial on DIY paper flowers found at Creature Comforts
These would also be great to adorn presents.

Beverage Jar Envy
When I saw this beverage jar at my sister’s grad party, I was just a little bit jealous-especially since they’re no longer available at Costco. But then…..

I saw this one from Crate & Barrel and it was love at first site.

Real Parties: Backyard BBQ
Here are a couple of pictures from my sister’s graduation barbecue last weekend. Due to a family emergency on my husband’s side we missed most of the party, so I only have pics from before everything was set up, and a couple of detail pics from during the party.

Mapping
I’m a big advocate of educational decor for kids’ bedrooms, and I’m lovin’ the use of wall maps in these photos from flickr.
